Pukaskwa River – Day 6

Well, technically we’re on the coastal section now, but I’m keeping the title the same so it’s clearly the same trip.

Pouring rain and mega windy basically all day. A bit worried about being windbound for an extended time, so saved some food by skipping breakfast and having a pancake brunch. Had supper at around 5:30, and then the weather seemed to be clearing a bit so we packed up and hit the water at 6:30. The wind had pretty much died, but the swells were still noticeable in our little canoe. Paddled about 5km, then set up camp at the Wheat Bin (Julia River). Fog rolled in shortly thereafter, and we were totally socked in not long after arriving.
