Pukaskwa River – Day 7

Planned an early start to beat the wind. Up at 5am, quick granola breakfast, and on water by around 6:15. Didn’t really work though – the wind was already blowing. Paddled into a headwind for 3h (covering about 14km), until we were chased off the water at Pipe River by a a nasty looking storm cloud and rumbles of thunder. Sprinted into camp and got stuff set up just before the downpour started. It cleared up somewhat later in the day, but it was still very foggy, we were all set up, and we would have been packing up a very wet tent and tarp so we stayed put for the rest of the day.
